Considering its experience in conflict resolution due to its professional and academic trajectory, Daniel Brantes Ferreira focuses on the effective and practical use of the multi-door court, relying on national and international multidisciplinary consultants. Daniel serves as an arbitrator in commercial and sports disputes, assisting his clients from drafting contracts to the resolution of any dispute. He consistently considers the client's needs and expectations, advising them at all times on the risks and benefits of the choices presented.
Furthermore, he manages the international operations focused on the BRICS countries.

About Our Founding Partner

  Bachelor of Laws from PUC-Rio (2000-2004). Master in Constitutional Law and State Theory from PUC-Rio (2005-2007). PhD in Constitutional Law and State Theory from PUC-Rio (2007-2011). Post-Doctorate in Procedural Law from UERJ (2017-2018). Its main areas of study are appropriate conflict solutions, law and digital technologies, the general theory of Law, legal education, constitutional theory, legal hermeneutics and the philosophy of Law.

 

  During the second semester of 2009 (August to December), he was a visiting researcher at the Law School of the State University of New York at Buffalo as a sandwich fellow from CAPES (PDEE), where he carried out research for his doctoral thesis on North American legal realism and North American legal education. He was a substitute professor in the Legal Theory department at the National Law School from 2008 to 2009 and also taught at the FGV-Rio Law School.

 

  He served as Vice-President of the Constitutional Law Commission of the OAB-RJ (2013-2015), President of the Commission for Legislative Affairs (2016-2018), and President of the Legal Education Commission of the OAB-RJ (2018). He was a professor at the Faculty of Law at IBMEC-RJ from 2013 to 2017 and served as Coordinator of the Law Graduation program from July 2014 to July 2017. He was awarded the Tiradentes Medal by ALERJ in 2016 for his contributions to legal education in Rio de Janeiro. He served as Coordinator of the Academic Master's Degree at Universidade Cândido Mendes (2020-2022), with a concentration in Economic Law and Development. He was the CEO of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA) until 2024.

 

  He currently teaches at EMERJ and at the Master's Degree course from Ambra University (Arbitration discipline). He holds the position of Research Fellow at The Baldy Center for Law Social Policy at the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a Senior Researcher at South Ural State University (SUSU). He is an evaluator for Higher Education courses appointed by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) of the Ministry of Education (MEC). He is Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution-RBADR (Scopus indexed) and the International Journal of Law in Changing World (IJLCW). Additionally, he is a Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He has over twenty years of experience in law and is registered with the OAB-RJ under number 132.768.
